Chicken Chapli Kabab is a crispy, juicy, and flavorful South Asian chicken kebab perfect for appetizers, snacks, or main meals. Ingredients.

  • 250 g chicken breast, cut into small pieces
    1 medium potato, boiled
    1 medium onion
    5 to 6 garlic cloves
    1 small piece ginger
    3 green chilies
    A handful of fresh coriander leaves
    ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
    ½ teaspoon red chili powder
    ½ teaspoon coriander powder
    ½ teaspoon cumin powder
    ½ teaspoon mixed spice seasoning
    Salt to taste
    Oil for deep frying

Directions

  • 1. Prepare the Vegetables
    Peel the onion and cut it into medium-sized chunks.
    Peel the garlic cloves and leave them whole.
    Peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces.
    Wash the green chilies and remove the stems.
    Wash the coriander leaves and roughly chop them.
    Boil the potato until soft, then peel and cut it into chunks.
    2. Make the Kebab Mixture
    Add the onion, boiled potato, garlic, ginger, and green chilies to a food processor or meat grinder.
    Blend until the ingredients are well combined.
    Add the chicken breast pieces and coriander leaves.
    Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, mixed spice seasoning, and salt.
    Blend again until everything forms a smooth minced mixture.
    3. Rest the Mixture
    Transfer the mixture to a bowl or plate.
    Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
    4. Shape the Kebabs
    Heat enough oil in a deep frying pan for deep frying.
    Lightly grease your hands with a little oil.
    Take small portions of the chicken mixture and flatten them into round kebab shapes.
    5. Fry the Kebabs
    Once the oil is hot, carefully place the kebabs into the oil.
    Fry until both sides are golden brown and fully cooked.
    Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
    6. Serve
    Serve hot with fresh salad such as: Sliced onions
    Tomato slices
    Lettuce leaves
    Cucumber slices
    Lemon wedges
