Mix Masala, or Garam Masala, is a blend of ground spices commonly used in Indian cuisine. It typically includes cumin, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper, among others. This aromatic spice mix adds warmth, depth, and complexity to various dishes such as curries, soups, and marinades. Depending on regional preferences, the combination of spices in Mix Masala can vary, making it a versatile and essential ingredient in many traditional recipes.
Why it’s called Mixed Masala? Masala means spices. Here, we mixed lots of herbs and made it mixed with Masala. Before, this procedure was too long. First, we bought all the spices separately. Then, I washed and dried it in the sunlight. It took 3 to 4 days long.
For this reason, we prepare much quantity. But now, you can also mix spice packets (not powder) in any store. Just grab it. wash and fry on low flame. Make it dry. Then blend it.

- 20 gm Cardamom
- 20 gm Clove
- 20 gm Cinnamon
- 10 gm Bay leaves
- 3 pcs Black cardamom
- 20 gm Peppercorns
- 20 gm Royal cumin
- 20 gm Sweet cumin
- 10 gm Mace
- 1 pcs Nutmeg
- 1 pcs Star anise
Directions
Bake it in the microwave at 170ยบ for 2 minutes, then grind it properly. When it cools, store it in an airtight jar.
